Already the second largest generic pharmaceutical company
in the U.S., Mylan continues to expand its presence in that market,
the world's largest. Mylan also has a significant and
well-established presence in the Canadian pharmaceutical market. The company's North
American businesses include Mylan Pharmaceuticals, Genpharm ULC, Mylan
Technologies and UDL Laboratories.
» EMEA
Mylan operates throughout Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA), with
manufacturing, packaging, distribution and marketing capabilities throughout
the region. These businesses presently hold top-five positions in several
markets, including No. 1 positions in France and Portugal. Mylan also has a
strong presence – and significant opportunities for growth – in Spain, Italy,
Portugal, Belgium, the Netherlands, Scandinavia and Ireland.
Mylan EMEA businesses include those that operate under the Mylan name in
Austria, Belgium, the Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, France,
Germany, Hungary, Italy, the Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal,
Scandinavia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland and South Africa.
Our other EMEA businesses include Arcana Arzneimittel, Generics [UK] Limited,
Generics Pharma Hellas, Gerard Laboratories and Qualimed. Docpharma distributes
generic pharmaceuticals in Belgium, the Netherlands and Luxembourg.

Mylan’s Asia-Pacific (APAC) presence includes
market-leading positions in Australia and New Zealand, as well as a growing
presence in Japan, the world’s second largest pharmaceutical market. Mylan
maintains a full complement of capabilities in the region, from product
development and manufacturing, to marketing and distribution of both
prescription and over-the-counter medicines. Mylan's Asia-Pacific businesses
include Alphapharm, Mylan Seiyaku and Mylan New Zealand.

A proven leader in traditional generic pharmaceuticals,
Mylan also operates Dey, a specialty business focused on respiratory and
allergy therapies.
» Matrix
Matrix is the world's third largest supplier of active pharmaceutical ingredients (API) and intermediates.
Based in Hyderabad, India, Matrix has several operating units,
including a network of API manufacturing facilities across India and China. Its
subsidiaries include Concord Biotech Limited, Explora Laboratories SA,
Matrix Laboratories N.V. and Matrix Pharma Group (Xiamen) Limited. Matrix
also owns and operates Docpharma, a distributor of generic pharmaceuticals in
Belgium, the Netherlands and Luxembourg. In addition, Matrix is a major supplier of API and
finished dosage forms of antiretroviral products, which are used to treat people living with HIV/AIDS.

Mylan also owns Somerset Pharmaceuticals Inc., a proprietary research and development
company located in Tampa, Fla. Somerset developed EMSAM®, a
transdermal patch for the treatment of major depressive disorder, currently
manufactured by Mylan Technologies and marketed in the U.S. by Dey.
