Joseph F. Haggerty is Mylan's Senior Vice President and Global General Counsel, a position he has held since October 2007. Haggerty oversees all legal issues and the provision of legal services, counsel and advice globally to members of Mylan's senior management.

Haggerty has more than 23 years of litigation, commercial and regulatory experience, including 14 years in the pharmaceutical sector. Prior to joining Mylan, he served as Vice President, General Counsel and Corporate Secretary for Sanofi-Aventis U.S. Inc. He joined Sanofi-Aventis after serving as Vice President and General Counsel for U.S. Commercial Operations at Aventis Pharmaceuticals, which was acquired by Sanofi in 2004. Joe also has served as Head of the Product Liability Group at Warner-Lambert Company and, prior to that, he practiced law for nine years at Shearman & Sterling LLP.

Haggerty earned a juris doctor degree and a bachelor's degree from St. John's University.
