Patrick Vink, M.D., is Mylan's Senior Vice President, Global Head of Biologics, a position he has held since March 2008. He is responsible for developing and implementing the company's biologics strategy.

Vink has 20 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry. Most recently, he was an independent consultant for life sciences companies, venture capital firms, private equity investors and non-governmental organizations. He also served as global head of business unit biopharmaceuticals at Sandoz, leading the successful development and registration of the first bio-similar pharmaceutical in the United States and Europe, a landmark event for the industry. Prior to Sandoz, Vink held leadership positions at Biogen and Sanofi-Synthelabo.

Vink earned his doctorate of medicine from the University of Leiden in the Netherlands and an MBA from the University of Rochester in New York.
