Mylan's Asia Pacific (APAC) presence includes market leading positions in Australia, through its Alphapharm subsidiary, Japan, the world's second largest pharmaceutical market, through its Mylan Seiyaku subsidiary, and New Zealand through its business in that country.
In addition, Mylan's strong active pharmaceutical ingredients (API) business, run by Mylan Laboratories Limited, is included in the company's APAC division. Headquartered in Hyderabad, India, Mylan Laboratories Limited operates nine API and intermediate manufacturing facilities located in India and China.
